Privacy Policy

ClearLedger is a beta money clarity tool. It helps signed-in users record basic money information and see what is left each month.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you use ClearLedger.

ClearLedger uses Google sign in through Supabase Auth.

When you sign in, ClearLedger may receive and store basic account information such as your email address, name, profile image, user ID, session details and sign in timestamps.

If you connect another account such as X, ClearLedger may store the provider, provider user ID, username, display name, profile image and connection dates.

Google, X and Supabase process sign in and linked account information under their own terms and privacy policies. User account passwords are not shared or stored with ClearLedger.

When you use the signed-in beta, ClearLedger stores the money information you choose to save.

This may include account name, account type, currency, current balance, balance date, ledger months, income and outgoing descriptions, amounts, payment status and item order.

You should not enter information you are not comfortable storing in the beta.

ClearLedger stores daily streak and achievement records for signed-in users.

These records may include your user ID, streak count, last seen date, timezone, achievement keys, awarded dates, seen dates, created dates and updated dates.

Streaks and achievements are used to show repeated use of ClearLedger. They are not used to make financial decisions or recommendations.

ClearLedger may use browser storage for interface preferences, cookie consent and similar local state.

ClearLedger may store a random browser ID so article reactions can be counted once per browser.

ClearLedger does not send browser-only calculator-style numbers to analytics, email, logs or third-party marketing tools.

ClearLedger may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies for sign in, security, preferences and analytics consent.

Google Analytics only loads after analytics consent is accepted.

Google Analytics may collect page visits, device information, browser information, approximate location, referral source and interaction data.

Google Analytics must not be used to collect saved ledger amounts or browser-only money numbers.

If you use the contact form, ClearLedger may receive your name if provided, email address, message content, browser and request details needed to process the form, and a Cloudflare Turnstile verification result.

Contact form messages are used to respond to your message, handle product feedback, protect the form from spam and improve ClearLedger.

Contact form emails may be sent through Resend. Cloudflare Turnstile is used to help check that the form is being submitted by a real person.

ClearLedger uses information to provide the beta, keep users signed in, save ledger data, show linked account status, show daily streaks and achievements, protect the service, understand product usage and improve the product.

If you react to an article, ClearLedger may store the article, your random browser ID and whether you marked it useful or not useful.

ClearLedger may use your email address to send account, beta access, service, security, product update and feedback messages.

If you sign in with Google or sign up for beta updates in the footer, ClearLedger may send your email address to EmailOctopus to manage beta update emails and unsubscribe preferences.

ClearLedger does not sell personal information.

ClearLedger may use third-party services for hosting, authentication, database storage, analytics, email updates, contact form delivery, spam protection, social sharing links and product operations.

Configured services may include Supabase, Google, EmailOctopus, Resend, Cloudflare Turnstile, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, X and Facebook.

These services may process information in different countries and under their own policies.

ClearLedger is not responsible for third-party websites, services, policies or actions.

ClearLedger keeps beta account, linked account, ledger, streak and achievement data while your account is active or while it is reasonably needed to provide the service, improve the product, protect the service or meet legal obligations.

Some records may remain in backups or logs for a limited period after deletion.

ClearLedger takes reasonable steps to protect information handled by the beta.

No website, database, authentication system or internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. You can also choose not to accept analytics cookies.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask to access, correct or delete information connected to your account.

ClearLedger is not designed for children.

Do not use ClearLedger or submit information if you are not old enough to understand this Privacy Policy.

ClearLedger may update this Privacy Policy as the beta changes.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
